The Realm

Our first wedding of the 2020 wedding season was a very emotional one. Our beautiful couple, Ian and Becca, decided to move up their wedding date after Ian was diagnosed with lung cancer and was given only a couple months to live. We helped them plan their wedding in just six weeks, and with the help of so many generous vendors we were able to give them the day they had always dreamed of.

Our couple tied at the knot at The Realm in Tacoma. Built in the 1910’s this venue just oozes rustic opulence and was just what Ian and Becca had imagined for their special day. The venue is full of warmth and charm, with the original brick walls, wood ceilings and beautiful wood floors and is beautifully decorated with hanging lights, candles and dried hops.

Becca was stunning in her wedding gown. Classy and flattering, her striking sleeveless wedding dress featured a deep beaded V-neckline, a princess cut lace bodice and a long A-line skirt with a court train. Beads and sequins added a touch of sparkle to the beautiful lace. Ian looked handsome in a navy tux, with a blush colored tie to pair with the colors of the wedding. They also had breathtaking florals for the bouquets and boutonnieres that really added that wow factor.

The ceremony was held in the main area of the venue under an arbor of dried hops and beautiful drapery. Surround by friends and family they said their “I Do’s” and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. After cocktail hour, the bride and groom made their grand entrance, which was followed by Ian performing songs he had written for Becca, and again there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. After dinner Becca changed into a fun and sparkly dress and then the real party started, as every took to the dance floor and really let loose. We wrapped up the night with a sparkler send off for the beautiful couple.

The love Ian and Becca share is large and powerful, and truly radiates from each of them. This wedding was truly unforgettable and was such an honor to be part of.
